Auctions take place every Tuesday.  The next auction will take place on No Events

At Woodburn Auction Yard we conduct a consigned Auction every Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. for miscellaneous merchandise. This includes items such as storage unit liquidations, farm store liquidations, building supplies, tools, smaller equipment, housewares, furniture, plants, automobiles and much more.

We begin auctioning at 9:00 a.m. in two different areas: the first Auction, located in an area we refer to as the Shed, tends to have household type items but also has a wide variety of merchandise. The second Auction, located in the area we refer to as the Old Car Row, is on an outside asphalt area where we usually place items that are not affected by the outside elements, such as larger tools, trailers, tires, boats etc.

At 10:00 a.m. we start a third Auction selling plants: this Auction is located on the South Side of our main Arena and offers some cover to potted plants when needed. Plant Auctions are seasonal: plants usually start being consigned in the early spring and run through late summer or early fall.

At 11:00 a.m. we start a fourth Auction to sell any automobiles we have consigned for the day: they will be located on the East side of our main Arena on the blacktop, near the Old Car Row. When the Auction crew finishes selling automobiles, they move Out Back to a graveled area on the West side of our main Arena and auction any lumber or palletized items we may have for the day.

When the Auction crew working on the Old Car Row is done selling, they move to the inside of the Arena and begin Auctioning the rows of misc. items located on the South side – moving to the West as they sell until they have completed the South side. When the Auction crew working in the Shed is done they move to the inside of the Arena and begin Auctioning the rows of misc. items located on the North side – moving to the West as they sell until they have completed the North side. When both Auction crews have finished selling in the main Arena our Auction is complete for the day. The completion time varies, depending on the amount and type of merchandise consigned, but usually finishes by approximately 5:00 p.m.

If you intend to pay cash at the time you bid you do not need to register at our office for a bidder number, you may walk up and start bidding. If you are the successful bidder you will need to pay the Collector in cash at that time.

If you intend on paying at the end of the sale with cash, pre-approved check, Debit or Credit you will need to come to our office upon your arrival and you will be issued a buyer number for that day. At the end of the sale, or when you are done for the day, you will need to come into the office and settle your bill. If you choose to use credit cards there is an additional 4% surcharge added to your total to cover the amount the credit card company charges us. There are no Buyer Premiums charged on our Tuesday Miscellaneous Auctions. ALL BILLS MUST BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE YOU LEAVE.

Once you have purchased your items, if they are small they will be handed to you and at that point they become your responsibility. Please keep track of your items; the Auction can be a very busy and crowded place and sometimes other buyers will forget what they have purchased and may pick up your items if they are left unattended. We don’t like it when this happens and will assist you to the best of our ability to get your items back if possible, but ultimately you are responsible for keeping track of your items and paying for them. If you have purchased a larger item that needs to be loaded with a forklift we will be happy to help you with that as soon as our Auction has moved from that area and we can safely maneuver the forklift. We need to have all items removed the day of the sale so we can clean the facility and prepare for new consignments coming in the next morning.

We start accepting consignments at 8:00 am Wednesday morning on a first-come, first-serve basis and are often full by mid-day on Wednesday for the following Tuesday’s Auction. We do not reserve space, either in person or over the phone. Reserving space would not be fair to the many people who spend the night in the parking lot on Tuesday night so they are in line to get the space they want. If you show up with items, but need to leave to get a second load, we will save the space you estimate you will need for your second load until Thursday at 12 noon; however if you should fail to come back by noon on Thursday, your space will be filled with the next consigner’s items. If you find you aren’t going to make it back by noon on Thursday, we would appreciate a call to let us know as soon as possible.

If you consign a vehicle we will need a current title in your name and signed off by you. If you have a vehicle dealer’s license we will need a copy of your license as well as the title for the vehicle and any supporting paperwork showing purchase information.

  • Wednesday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, Friday & Monday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

We recommend you call ahead to see if we have space available

Commission on titled vehicles is 10% with a $150.00 minimum per vehicle.

  • Dump fees may be charged at Woodburn Auction Yard’s discretion for items that do not sell and are not removed by the consignor or others. Dump fees will be based upon the volume of items left.
